Our new (used) car and other pictures
yes, we did it. we bought a car. it's new to us, used to everyone else. it's a really nice honda civic hatchback. it's old but has very few kms on it, is in amazing condition and drives really nicely. standard on the other side is a bit of a challenge, but we're getting better at it already.
today we're off to the market and then to kings park. it's a 4km square park in the centre of town. we're taking our rollerblades in the hopes of actually getting to explore it on wheels, but we're not sure if it has that kind of trail.
enjoy the pics. they're a bit random

this is what i meant by "things grow up". look carefully at the orientation of growth on this pine tree relative
amazing sunset on our way home from mandurah
i know you can't see it well, but these birds were fighting (or play fighting, we're not sure) for about 10 minutes. it was ridiculous. i've never seen birds act like that. (and yes, they either are parrots, or just really really look like them)

Congrats on the new car. Very cute, I love it. Big step, the first car purchase. Maybe a step I'll be ready to take in say, 10 years or so.
Love the pictures, keep them coming! I'm glad to finally see what you mean by things growing "up". Very strange indeed.
I miss you guys so much. Thanks for keeping up posted on what you're up to!

Woo hoo! Now we're silver honda civic buddies!!!
Congrats on the car purchase. They guzzle money, but provide so much freedom, so it's a pretty decent payoff.
I love the pics. Again, so jealous that you're living in that weather. I'm seriously considering being totally irresponsible and hoping on a plane to the cheapest beach.
I hope you're enjoying school John...and Michelle, congrats and good luck with the job. I'm sure you'll be fabulous wherever you work. Just remember how lucky THEY are to have you!
Miss you tons and I'll talk to you soon...
XOXO Ry
